Eloping or having a small wedding in the Ottawa Valley?

More and more couples are skipping the big production for something smaller and more personal, an elopement or a tiny wedding with just their closest people. Out here in the Ottawa Valley, with all this open country and water, it is a beautiful way to do it. If that is you, here is what to know.

Do you even need a video for a small wedding?

Honestly, I think an intimate day is one of the best arguments for a film. With so few guests, there is almost no one there filming on a phone, so if you do not have a videographer, the day simply is not captured in motion at all. And the moments at a small wedding tend to be so raw and close that a film brings them back better than anything.

What filming an intimate day looks like

Smaller days are lovely to film precisely because they are relaxed. There is time to breathe, the emotion is right on the surface, and I can stay completely out of the way. Nothing feels like a production, because it is not one. It is just your day, quietly captured.

Keeping it simple

You do not need a big package for a small day. My Sweet & Simple collection, from $1,950, is built for exactly this: a shorter day and a beautiful highlight film, without paying for coverage you will not use. If your day is even smaller, just ask, and I will put together something that fits.

Wherever you are eloping in the Valley, a lakeside, a field, a backyard, tell me your plan and I will tell you how I would film it.
