How long does it take to get your wedding video?

It is one of the most common questions I get, usually right after "are you available." The honest answer across the industry is anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Here is why it varies, and what is fair to expect.

Why it takes time

A wedding film is not just the footage, it is what happens after. A single day can produce hours of clips and audio that all need to be sorted, color graded, cut to music, and shaped into something that flows. Good editing is slow, careful work, and it is honestly most of what you are paying for. A rushed edit shows.

What is a fair timeline?

For most videographers, somewhere in the six to eight week range is normal and reasonable. Some deliver a little sooner, some take longer in peak season when they are filming most weekends. What matters is that they give you a clear, honest answer up front and stick to it.

How I do it

My standard delivery is six to eight weeks after your wedding. Sometimes it is sooner, but I would rather promise honestly and deliver than overpromise and rush your film. If timing matters to you, just ask, and I will tell you exactly where things stand.

My advice: do not choose a videographer on speed alone. The film is yours forever. A few extra weeks for a film you will love is always worth it.
