How much does wedding videography cost in the Ottawa Valley?

If you have started looking for a wedding videographer in the Ottawa Valley, you have probably noticed how few of us actually list our prices. It makes planning your budget hard. So here is a straight, honest answer for couples getting married around Pembroke, Renfrew County, and the wider Ottawa Valley in 2026.
The short answer
Most wedding films in this area land somewhere between $1,950 and $3,950, depending on how much of the day you want covered and how many films you want back. For a full day with a cinematic film and a cinematic social teaser, the middle of that range, around $2,750, is where most couples end up.
What actually changes the price
A few things move the number up or down:
- Hours of coverage. A shorter six-hour day costs less than a full ten to twelve hour one.
- How many films you get back. A single highlight is simpler than a full film plus a social teaser plus the complete ceremony.
- Drone, raw footage, and a second camera. Each of these adds filming and editing time.
- Travel. If your venue is well outside the immediate area, there is usually a small fee based on distance.
The biggest driver, though, is editing time. A good wedding film takes many hours to color, cut, and score after the day is over, and that work is most of what you are really paying for.
My collections, as a real example
To make it concrete, here is how I price my own work:
- Sweet & Simple, from $1,950. Six hours of coverage and a three to five minute highlight film. Good for smaller or shorter days.
- Classic Collection, $2,750. My most popular. Ten hours, a cinematic film of your day, a social teaser, drone footage, and an online gallery. This suits most weddings.
- Luxury Collection, from $3,950. Twelve plus hours, a longer film, and your raw footage included.
Common add-ons: extra hours at $100 an hour, a second camera locked on the full ceremony for $300, and your color-graded raw footage for $200. Every couple also gets a private vows film at no charge, a short piece of the two of you reading your vows in private.
Why two videographers can quote very differently
Price usually reflects experience, gear, and how much care goes into the edit. Two things worth asking about, that couples often forget, are audio and delivery time. Clean audio, in my opinion, matters as much as the visuals, sometimes more. A beautiful film with muffled vows is a film you will not rewatch, so ask how a videographer captures sound. And ask how long you will wait for your finished film.
A note on booking
Most videographers, myself included, reserve your date with a deposit, and the popular summer and fall dates go early. If you have a date in mind, it is worth reaching out well ahead so you do not miss it.
