Is a wedding video worth it?

It is the question almost every couple wrestles with, usually late in the planning when the budget is getting tight. Photos feel non-negotiable. Video feels like the thing you could maybe skip. So let me give you an honest answer, even though I am obviously a little biased.
What a film gives you that nothing else can
A photo is silent and still. A film is the only thing that holds on to the two pieces of your day that fade the fastest from memory: sound and motion. The sound of your partner's voice during the vows. A parent's laugh in their speech. The music, the cheers, the way the room moved during the first dance. Ten years from now you will remember roughly what your wedding looked like. Without a film, you will not remember how it sounded, or how it felt to be standing there.
The regret nobody expects
Ask around and you will hear the same thing from couples who skipped it: not filming the day is one of the most common wedding regrets there is. You cannot go back and recapture it. It is genuinely a once-only thing.
So is it worth it for you?
Here is the honest test. Picture your tenth anniversary. Would you rather flip through an album, or sit down and actually watch your wedding again, hear the vows, and get a little emotional? If that second one pulls at you even a bit, a film is worth it for you.
It is a real cost, and only you can weigh it against everything else on your list. But of all the things that disappear the day after your wedding, your film is the one that brings the whole day back the most completely.
